I can't believe no one's done this yet:

Viv drinks 15 cups of coffee a day? That explains a lot.

Any hoo let's see what's in my head shall we?

Legalizing drugs would mean no more dealers. Rubbish. I don't buy my cigarettes from shop's these days. I have my own cigarette dealer who get's em for me. I'm not paying £6.50 a pack when I can get em for half that price!

In my youth I took everything under the sun "Hell we would have taken vitamin c tablets if someone made it illegal" I know many people even now who have a regular coke dealer. They don't do it before breakfast. They just do it on special occasions. For instance my mates birthday next Friday. V festival coming up etc.

Why do we do it. Because it's fun. Yes you can get natural highs bit funnily enough no-one's gonna let me free-fall into the V festival so coke will have to do. It's a different feeling than with beer or anything else. And in the evening we'll all probably be smoking to help take the edge off.

I've never robbed anyone. It doesn't control my life, I do it when I want to which is rarely.

Also can I just add that there's no feeling quite like bring off your face on acid arguing with somone also on acid about what pattern and colour the carpet has only to find out the next day that it's plain. Oh and my mate turned into dougle as well!

I thought that I had a pretty dim view of society, but I don't think it's as dim as yours. I can't see things getting worse & worse, what have you seen/heard/read/etc that makes you believe that currently-illegal drugs are to blame for this apparent worsening?

Vivienne wrote:I think this "global warming" thing seems to have taken over, to avoid focusing on crime, etc.

I don't think that it has overtaken the everyday society problems. What does that actually have to do with drug-users though? I think that that is the first time that global warming and drug-taking have been connected in that way.

Whose Alan Sugar? I think Chris Cake agrees with me.

What have I seen /heard ? Well, there's a shopping mall near where I live, which people now dread going too, because you can't walk through it, on account of the fact there are so many druggies there. Most people just want to go about their daily lives, without being hassled. By some bizarre co-incidence, whilst I was at the hairdressers last Thursday, the hairdresser just happened to come up with the "issue" of druggies, which reminded me of this thread! aaahh!!

Also, whilst returning from the library on a day off approx. 2 years ago, I saw an old lady being threatened by a druggie in my local TESCO car-park. Now, approximately 12 of us decided to intervene. One guy chased the druggie down the street, caught him and sat on him, until the Police showed up. Me & another guy sat on the grass with the old lady, until staff from TESCO came out and got her into the shop. Things like this make me mad. Like I said, I don't need so-called statistics, which are probably "fudged" anyway. I just take a look around what goes on on an almost daily basis.

I'd like to state I don't have a dire view of Society as a whole. I think there are loads of really good people out there. Unfortunately, the minority of wrong-dooers seems to be growing, and no-one seems to wish to take a firm stand against it.

Global warming issue: All I meant is, the Government is zoning in on this issue (convenient?), whilst there are so many unresolved issues (crime, etc.) going on!!
