The dogs is a cracking night out, I usually limit myself to £1 per race. I've not been for ages, but I usually do a three way bet (I think that's the one where you guess the top 3 in any order); it usually does me quite well.

Anyhoo with 3 dogs that can finish in any order there are 6 bets so if it cost £3 that's 50p a bet so to get £47 back means a great tricast dividend. Well done.

Making me smile is the call I just got from Miss Yudster who has just finished her Maths GCSE paper 1 and reckons she's done LOADS better than she expected and better than when she took it early last year and got a D.

My experience with exams (which, I'd like to point out, is probably totally different to Miss Yudster's and anyone else's) has always been that I do well in the ones I feel I've done shit in and vice versa. This is probably due to my inability to predict anything whatsoever.

It's cold, I am wearing a thin cotton jersey top (it was warm and sunny this morning!) and I have no jumper with me. If I go out there I fear lives may be lost. At the very least I'll have someone's eye out.

I just wish the guy in my office, who looks like John McCririck by the way, wore a jumper on cold days sometimes!
