User Control Panel -> Board preferences -> Edit display options -> Display smilies as images -> No.

It makes the smilies less noticeable and therefore more bearable.

Thats a good option - becasue they are annoying, but at the end of the day they are there, available for use - so how can anyone insist that they aren't used?! Seems daft.

I used to work in a pub and their was a guy who came in who said he didnt have a drink problem but was often seen drink from bottles of White-Lightning on the park!

After Chris used some of Party Ben's mashups during the soundclash at Maidstone, he got a nice mention on the site (scroll down the news section to May). He's also top of the news page at the moment due to "Every Car You Chase" getting a mention in the handover to Jo Whiley earlier this week.
