Definitely, no matter how much I trusted my other half; I'd still never get a joint account; mainly due to that fact that my mum and dad had a joint account years ago, however my prick-of-a-dad took a loan out on the account behind my mums back (forging my mum's signature) and then left it for her to pay off by herself when he got ill. She only found out about the loan when bailiffs were on the door!

Moral of the story - joint accounts are a bad idea, especially when your other half is liable to do something like that.
