Actually on the whole snake rat thing. A few of my friends kept snakes and they occasionally feed them live food. Nearly all carnivorous animals prefer live food. Even my fish do. So while his intentions were misguided he was actually doing the right things.

I'm not sure getting pleasure out of it is right though. Unless there are any other animal abusing stories out there I don't think this one counts. Unless he was over feeding the snake.

Oh and I knew a guy who had a snake so big he had to feed of rabbits. Mostly frozen ones but occasionally live. It used to love drum and bass music too.

And last time I checked Australia was a country of Alcoholic, mysogynasyic (bloody sexist ok) racists. Actually now I see why he likes it so much. Whip round anyone?

Mark - you did get several chances to listen to what people were saying to you on various subjects. Unfortunatly, it seems that they have run out of chances to give. I know I said in the past to try and ignore the critisism and learn from what people were telling you but now, however, I don't believe you have much hope of pulling yourself back from the brink. In principle there is no difference from in the wild where this would happen every day, but unlike in nature the rats have no chance of escape, which is wrong. Also what is to be gained by feeding live rats? Nothing at all. It's no better for the snake nutritionally.
