Tonight I am going to the movies!!

However, I do not know whether to go to see "The Happening" (paranormal) or "Sex and The City" (chick flick).

Have any of you seen either of the 2, and what do you think?

I haven't seen The Happening.

However, if you watched Sex and the CIty on TV and enjoyed it, I would say that the movie is a good bet for you. I loved it.

Haven't really seen it on TV, but apparently they go over the TV at the start of the movie!!

Sorry! That doesn't makes sense!! I am preparing Minutes at the same time as being on message board (!!). I meant, the movie backtracks briefly over stuff that has happened on TV! :-)

Oh Jesus, I really hoped this thread would be about whether or not you should keep posting stupid threads like this.

It's not stupid. I want some advice, and thus require it from more sensible members (not you!!).

Me sensible? Coming from the 40 year old (who I genuinely thought was around 16 because of these stupid threads) who goes to the actual effort of creating a whole new thread about what she should go to see at the cinema!!! Why don't you just go through cinema reviews or something.

I've been through reviews, thank you v. much. It's not enough.

Well just see both then! You obviously want to see both, so go wild, do it!

Unfortunately, I don't have the time. That's why I create the topic: in order to decide. D'uh.

That's probably the best advice so far.

Yes, they do a quick recap at the start of the film, so if you haven't seen the TV show then you won't lose track of what's going on. It's just less easy to tell if you're going to enjoy the film if you haven't seen the TV show. I guess if you enjoy chick flicks then it's a good choice.

Happy to help!

I don't get to go and see "grown up" pictures very often. It's nice to be able to show off some knowledge for a change!

I'm looking forward to seeing a grown-up picture. Also the fact it's set in N.Y. is an attraction. :-)

I think you should go and see the happening just because its not sex and the city!

And I think you should see Sex and the City just because it isn't The Happening! Well, thats what I'd do.

BUT - I remember a while ago you saying that you really wanted to see The Happening - so I think you should go for that.

I think you should go see Iron Man instead. Far better film.

They are both meant to be a bit rubbish - but if you like girly films I'd see SATC. Films like The Happening are 2 a penny and there are much better ones out there.
