Good to see Greg James flying up the pecking order at Radio1, covering for Scott. I think hes a breath of fresh air compared with many of his colleagues at the station! With a bit of time, he must certainly be one of the main contenders for filling the breakfast slot at some future point.

Im excited i can listen to BBC Radio 1 "Drivetime" haha, with Greg rather than Scott, for some reason i cannot stand scott now, and thats me switchin off breakfast for two weeks

Ah good to see Greg's being rewarded for his good work so far. I've been converted after hearing a few of his shows. Any Radio 1 DJ that plays Baker Street for whatever reason gets my vote.

Greg has settled into his programme much better than I thought he was going to at first. He just seemed to be a "Mills Clone" to begin with, and there is still far too much of Mills about him for me to really like him, but Early Breakfast is much better than it was, and better than I thought it was going to be.

Still not a patch on JK and Joel though.

He does that already. His feature "My Name Is Scott" seems to be pretty much "how can we cause Scott pain". Its not as good as you'd expect to be honest.

He does that already. His feature "My Name Is Scott" seems to be pretty much "how can we cause Scott pain". Its not as good as you'd expect to be honest.

And the fake yelps and squeals are pretty unconvincing. Big Steve would be a good plan.

I had a lucky escape this morning, Mrs RB turned the radio off before I could hear it (she obviously knew I wouldn't approve). Although I did then get lumbered with Scott this morning as I couldn't find my iPod and really couldn't face local radio that early in the morning.

See, I tried that this morning and couldn't really get into it. He was funny when they interviewed him at Wimbledon though (both on Five Live and on BBC Two).

He certainly takes a bit of getting used to. Him and his 'TOGs' have quite a few in-jokes and a certain sense of humour. I didn't have a clue what he was going on about when my mum used to listen to him.

I haven't got out of bed so quickly since the last time Chris was on holiday. I did try to listen to Scott but failed miserably and after I had shouted at the radio about 6 times Mr S4 turned it off!
