I am very much a believer of fate, coincidence and all that. It was definitely spooky.

Nice one foots, I'm so happy for you. Hopefully she'll have the same traits as her great-grand aunt! (Apart from the bog roll ripping one)

Spain completing the end of anti-football tonight has put a big smile on my face. I was really starting to worry that defensive football was taking a foothold, but the last couple of months attacking, flowing football has prevailed. The beautiful game lives on!

We are hopefully going to see her tomorrow evening. :D

Marvelous! What a bit of serendipity. Take pics.

TIAL wrote:Still making me smile is Jay-Z headlining Glastonbury. He well and truly walked all over the nay-sayers!

While I appreciate that he's brilliant at what he does (and that I wasn't there so my opinion doesn't really count), had I been there, I would have been elsewhere at that point because it's not for me. My mate was thrilled that he was there, because it meant there were less people in the tent he was in at the time.

True, it's not for everyone as you say and there was plenty of other acts on at the same time - if I went, I would've been torn between him, Massive Attack and Biffy.
It's good that you don't mindlessly cast him off though like a few of my friends did. I never understood how people criticise Jay-Z just on the basis that he's a rapper. That's like criticising an orchestra because they don't play rock music.

Making me happy today is the fact that work owe me 4 days worth of holiday pay even though I didn't think they did. So I'm very happy.
That extra bit of dosh (as little as it may be after tax) is going straight into savings! Woo Hoo!

Whaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaay!

'Mon the Guinnea pigs!

We had one called Jigsaw (or "Jiggy"). Mum and Dad go off on holiday and leave me a note saying "Don't forget to feed Jiggy salad.".

He was called Jiggy Salad for the rest of his days.

I'm not entirely sure this is appropriate but making me smile is Foot's sig which I've only just noticed.....very Star Wars and a nice touch with the eyes.

it's sad and a little creepy. my parents' pooch just passed away in may and they got a replacement doggie two weeks later who looks just like the dead one. it's disturbing.

i'm sorry for your loss, foots.

That is when you know you've made it.

Making me smile is finding something very rude and plastic under a lady's matress today. She'd phoned my cousin and asked us to clean the matress but I don't think she'd thought things through properly :D
