I see what you're saying, he'll have to improve no end to be able to beat the likes of Nadal before he can win a Grand Slam and that is a big ask. It's the key as to whether he can win one and I hadn't thought properly about that before making the statement. Neither player is at their peak yet, but it is true that Murray is unlikely to catch up with Nadal.

No point in predicting the finalists, they're all pretty much a foregone conclusion.. an all-Williams ladies (in the loosest sense of the word) final and a Rafa-Federer final is almost inevitable. The outcome of the mens is going to be interesting though. The outcome of the ladies isn't.

Yes, but Murray would have to be considerably higher up the slope at this stage of his career for the peak to be higher than ATP tournaments. He'll certainly win a few of those (if he hasn't already done so....he has, hasn't he?). But the only way he'll win a slam is if everyone else is sick or injured.

I've not seen her play yet, but a 14 year old in the junior semis isn't to be sniffed at, not when the juniors includes everyone up to 18. Perhaps she could be our first decent woman since the days of Virginia Wade and Sue Barker. Annabel Croft didn't make it..

I believe that last junior final was Annabel Croft in 1984. It certainly was for the girls and I don't think we've had a junior boy in the final since then either. They are certainly few and far between, even before that.

I hope it does get covered, just rewards for a cracking performance.. knocking out the number one seed en route.

Correction.. according to Wikipedia, some lad named Miles Kasiri represented us in the junior boys final in 2004. The name sort of rings a bell, but I don't remember a big thing made about it.
