Is this one of those times when commenting on this would be wrong? Because if so - don't post stuff like this, it's ridiculous!

I didn't slate him. You merely perceived it as such.

In all fairness, neither action offended me, but 'Saviour' did piss me off somewhat. I don't think putting it as your signature is slating me. But I appreciate the back up!

You'd struggle to get there for the cobwebs anyway..

Topher's post reminded me of something that made me smile last night. Janet Street Porter (not often she makes me smile but bear* with me) revealing on the F word last night that all these smoothie drinks are hideously fattening and full of sugar. GIRUY health kick people, my Pepsi Max is better for me, and I only drink that because I think it tastes better than ordinary Pepsi!

* Question - is it bear with me or bare with me? Neither has ever seemed right to me since one is a big grizzly animal, while the other says nakedness.

It's 'bear with me'. 'Bear' can also mean 'carry' - 'bear the burden', etc.

In some circumstances, the other spelling would be more appropriate.

Yes, but in cases that don't involve S4B, it's 'bear'.

I've cheered up a bit now...but not by much..... my leg is still stinging a bit. When out for a run on Tuesday, a medium-sized insect was on my leg, extracting blood from me.. :-( I've got a plaster on the bruise, but it's still sore.

er... yeah. I'm still angry at something extracting blood from me :-( Neither man nor beast has permission to do that, without my permission.

Do you have to?

Being 'angry' at an insect is no reason to use a plaster though.. if it's a proper wound (and it really doesn't sound like it is), there may be reason to use a plaster, but generally wounds are better off if you let the air get to them anyway, in my opinion.

Besides that, I'm not sure that an insect has the ability to ask your 'permission'.
