To counteract the 'naff song' thread, name some obviously great songs.

For me, one has to be 'Killing In the Name Of' by RATM.

In my head now, I'm singing "Justboy, Justboy, so good you played it twice".

As for one of my own favourites,

Like a Prayer : Madonna.

Imagine : John Lennon (I have to stop everything I'm doing when this comes on, no matter what). :-)

Your first one should go in the 'naff' thread.

In my opinion the greatest song of the 90's, it encapsulates all that I was doing in those carefree, childless times!!

Would people please post what these songs are for those of us at work? I mean, I have the capability to watch it, but there are people in the office with me.

Coldplay - The Scientist. The chorus describes a past relationship of mine really well, and was ironically the song that was on for our first kiss.

I happen to think songs are made so much better if you can relate to them. And the stronger the feeling of relation to the song, the better that song becomes.

If my memory serves me correctly this track was about someone dieing in a car crash, hope you didn't have to go through that.

The video definitely was, but thankfully it was not that. I didn't lose her, we just had to go our separate ways. Really complicated to be honest. We're still in touch and happy in our current relationships so it clearly worked out for the best!

Naff.

Topher speaks the truth, it's cheese of the worst kind.

Now, Sea Song by Robert Wyatt, that's ace (or even Rachel Unthank's version).

For the benefit of us who can't access youtube, is there any chance that some of you might actually try to name your songs..... in stead of posting seemingly "blank posts". It would be terribly useful.

Yeah a bit of RATM because they are playing T in the Park.
