As discussed on R1 on Tuesday, who would you say has been the most consistent actor/actress for you over the years? Who has continually kept your attention?

Do you favour Jim Carrey? Tom Hanks? etc., etc. :-)

Will Smith. Although that might be cheating, as if anything I think he's got better with age.

Johnny Depp has been brilliant in all his films, even the bad ones. Not that there are many of those.

All he does is save the world!

Edward Norton for me, legend!

Actually, my favourite film of his is still Ali. He didn't save the world in that one.

Paris Hilton is pretty consistent with her acting ability; I've never once believed the character she's been portraying.

Apart from the role of slut that is.

Although she's in her early days; Ellen Page is a superb actress! The majority of her work has been absolutely brilliant. Jodie Foster is another actress I like.

Actor wise, there are so many to choose from. Will Smith and Edward Norton would definitely be in my top 10. However, one that springs to mind is Jack Nicholson for me.

I'd go for Michael Kane - even if the film he's in is quite bad, you still enjoy the scenes he does.

Other than that - Robert DeNeiro, Al Pacino, Ben Kingsley, Dustin Hoffman, Morgan Freeman normally make me want to watch.

It's De Niro, by the way. And Caine. Michael Caine! And you're spot on with him. I also like Yuds' choice of Johnny Depp. He's such an eclecticist with his film roles. They're always so perfectly odd.

Urgh! I knew that and all! Damn! I blame TIAL.

I like Depp, he always seems very eccentric with his work, although his Sweeny Todd work would have shined if it didn't include the singing! It totally ruined a bloody (har har!) good film, especially with Tim Burton as the director... they could have made it a masterpiece!

Morgan Freeman is brilliant, as is Kevin Spacey.

I'm a mum. That doesn't wash with me. I will merely turn around and say, "And if TIAL jumped off a bridge, would you jump off right after him?" Tut tut. Lemming.

Morgan Freeman!! Love him :-) James King was saying though that he always does the "father-type" of roles all the time, and he is a bit fed up of that.
