I know it's a month away but would people be interested in fantasy league for next season? I know a good free site that hasn't crashed on me in my three years of using it :)

Have a look and let me know if you're interested and I'll set up a league.

I don't think the English Premiership's ever held my attention long enough to play it properly, but I'd be interested nevertheless.

Do you have to make transfers every week to be in with a shout?

To win the whole thing? Probably. To be the best out of us lot? Unlikely.

Usually, I just pick the team then revisit every couple of weeks and swap out injured players. You get one free transfer a week, any more cost you points.

I'll set a league up nearer the time. You can register and pick your team now but it's probably better to wait until all the transfers have been done.

Nothing, if you intend to aim with your shoe.

That's my problem too. I take an interest to start with, but a few weeks into the season I'm far too busy with the SPL to pay attention to how the EPL is panning out. I tend to remember briefly around Super Dooper Sunday or whatever Sky call it these days (when the big four all play each other and more often than not bore us to tears in doing so).

A mate of mine is really good at these things. So much so we don't play any more. He takes it seriously, analyses week after week, and he wins every time. The last time we all played, I was second. Once you do that you kinda give up.

A good friend is one who can wind you up about your team's poor performance and not get a smack in the mouth for it.

Umm...

sole–adjective
1. being the only one; only: the sole living relative.
2. being the only one of the kind; unique; unsurpassed; matchless: the sole brilliance of the gem.
3. belonging or pertaining to one individual or group to the exclusion of all others; exclusive: the sole right to the estate.
4. functioning automatically or with independent power: the sole authority.
5. Chiefly Law. unmarried.
6. without company or companions; lonely: the sole splendor of her life.
7. Archaic. alone.

So Ezza was right.

Thank goodness for this, I couldn't see anything wrong with it at all and I thought I must be going mad!
