Anyone been to Sno Zone in Milton Keynes? I noticed it on Greg James' blog, and it looks fantastic. :-)

If you haven't, would you like to try skiing or any other sport you haven't done before?

Haha I always feel the need to go on the computer after a night out...seems Greg does too.

I haven't even been to the snow bit in XScape at Braehead, and it's 10 minutes away from here! The prices tend to put me off.

I haven't been on the slope, but I have watched. I was in the Xscape last night for a beer.

I've been to Sno Zone in MK to Snowboard. It's massive and quite impressive! The fake snow they have is just about as realistic to actual snow which is good (although I wouldn't recommend eating it), the only problem is that on a busy day you really don't get long in there and I think per hour it's quite pricey.
I went there a couple of years back to practise a bit before I went on my holiday to Alpe D'Huez. The only thing I recommend is to not hire anything as it's rather expensive.

Would you recommend eating real snow then?

It is expensive. I'd like to give it a go at some point though.

Not the yellow kind, no. But if you're skiing/snowboarding while it's snowing you'll generally end up getting some in your mouth, but that's fine.

It's fun - I'd highly recommend it, especially snowboarding (obviously) but I did find it's alot harder than skiing; so if you want an easier ride do skiing as your knee's do most of the work most of the time. I remember fracturing my coccyx once on the slope by turning the wrong way... that hurt like a bitch.

Is it wrong that I didn't understand the phrase 'don't eat yellow snow' until a couple of months ago? :?

Yep but no more than I'd expect from an Oxford scholar. Extreme intelligence and very little common sense as a rule! ;)

Ah yes but our Brookes lot are meant to be the ones with all of the common sense and none of the intelligence!

Me too, I'd love that.... and how is snow produced, out of interest?

My sister works in the X-Scape thingymajigger.

I've never been on the snow slope though.

I don't think it is produced out of interest. Out of water maybe, but definitely not interest.

I've forgotten now, but there's these couple of things they mix together and the end result is just really nice/fresh feeling stuff. It's kinda like baby powder, but lot smoother and just feels a lot nicer and isn't sticky. I saw it at this science demonstration thing that I had to go to.
