Some little shit blasted a football into my back yesterday, and it go so bad I could barely walk, and then I also started having a panic attack on top of that. I've just spent three hours lying in an uncomfortable bed to be given painkillers and sent home.

Hitting passers by with footballs. No wonder none of the home nations qualified for Euro 2008 with such lack of skill.

Anyway, no reason to moan about A&E. They did their job as best as they could by the sounds of it. The "footballer" on the other hand... needs his ball inserted anally.

A little tip about A&E from a person who has been there about 20 times this year, do not, if you can help it, go in at the weekend. That said i understand why they would just send you home if you managed to get yourself to hospital with a back injury then it most probably isn't broken. You should of gone to the badger clinic instead though it would of taken alot less time. The beds are alright i usually have a nice little sleep in them, i feel more sorry for my mum who is sat in a plastic chair all night.

I can't get to sleep and I have work in the morning. I guess I should have expected my sleep pattern to get destroyed after this morning's demolition excitement!

I’m having the morning from hell…

Not only have I just been queuing for the past 45 minutes (to go 2 miles) on top of my hour long journey because the traffic lights were out on one of the busiest roundabouts in Crawley; some stupid little tart then smashed into the back of my car because for some reason she was checking to see if someone was behind her, (yes, she went up my backside before the innuendos begin). Stupid cow. Which means I now have a headache! Thankfully, there’s no damage apart from a minor scratch… but we’ve still had to swap details. I swear to god, if she makes a claim against me I’ll going to go mental.

I think I might go get my car checked out just incase there isn't any underlining damage. Great. More £££!

She came up your arse (giggle) which immediately takes away all blame from yourself.

Ask Foot-loose, he's an expert at this kind of thing (giggle)

True, but I just don't want her to call her insurance and say that I slammed my brakes on or something. Although, even if I did, the person behind me should have left enough distance infront of them to prepare for sudden breaking so really; I should be ok actually. Cheers Zoot!

You will be ok - and if you have a headache, you should get checked out by the doctor. You might have damaged your neck, whiplash can start quite gently but leave you in agony in a few weeks - and if you haven't seen your doctor pretty quick after the incident, it could affect your Personal Injury claim.....!

Very true! Especially seeing as my friend is having trouble with hers at the moment.

I might pop in and see my doctor friend in the occupational heath dept. at work during lunch.

Good plan. And don't worry about insurance, she went into the back of you, her insurance will pay. Unless you reversed into her or something!

Applying for jobs can be so soul destroying.. you may send 40 or 50 applications off and if you're lucky get three interviews - and then you have to persuade them to offer you a job.

That's a really good idea Viv, I wish I'd seen that a couple of months ago.

Have you put your C.V on Monster.co.uk or Reed.co.uk? They're quite good as employers can call you as well as you calling them.
Also, if you haven't already done so, as well as agency websites I'd also try having a look at websites from MASSIVE companies (like NHS, HSBC, BP, Shell, Microsoft, etc) for jobs.

I don't like Reed. I used to work for them...

virtualassistants is something I may look into, as I could be doing with more cash at the mo'.

Miss Lalottie, would you like me to have a look at your CV? I perhaps am not the best person for it, but I have an idea of what people like looking at.

I agree, I don't like Reed either as they seem to lack in all communication skills which is a big no no for me when you're asking someone to do something for you, especially when looking for a job. But I thought I'd suggest them anyways as what fails for one, may work for another. Plus, their website is good if you want to look yourself.
