It's good that on the "friends" list, when you are in the user cp, if a friend suddenly logs on, you see the name instantly.

Only if they aren't hidden I believe. Also, the page obviously has to be refreshed to show new information.

I don't argue with Viv particularly. If she says something I agree with or that makes me laugh, or that I respond to in a positive way, I say so - and I reckon thats the majority of the time. But that doesn't mean that if she says something daft, or agressive, or unpleasant, I'm going to ignore it. Why would I? I've been asked to moderate my attitude to people before, I didn't interpret that as a personal attack, merely a request to wind my neck in a bit.

I've said it many times before - I like Viv, and in a lot of ways I admire her. I'm just not sure why that should mean I have to agree with everything she says, thats all.

If everyone agreed with everyone all of the time, these message boards would be pointless and life would be boring.

Yeah but then the joke, poor as it was, is rendered flacid and lifeless if you spell the words correctly.

And apparently flaccid has two 'c's. I really should use my browser's spell checker more often.

(My third double post of the day, I do apologise!)

Yep! I was trying to teach your boyfriend how to spell it the other night. He spelt it wrong the first time, then we had a cuddle and waited 5 minutes and he tried again.
