I wasn't suggesting that close, just a bit closer than you usually would. If you had a 32-inch widescreen TV, sit between 6 and 8 feet away from it.

I haven't been to the cinema for months. I used to have a UGC card, £11.99 per month and you could go as often as you like, but I wasn't getting the moneys worth out of it, so I cancelled it.

Crawley cinema is a shit-hole. Its full of chavs the think its funny to talk all the way through the film, when you ask them to be quiet you get a mouthful of abuse back. The place is a mess, the floor sticky, the chairs ripped, the staff grumpy and its over priced for everything... so I would much rather have some friends over, get a bag of popcorn from Tesco, and put a Sky Box Office Movie on, its only £3.99 and you can Sky + it and keep it for about a week I think. Much better idea.

I'm not sure Zoot. I want to get a DVD recorder at somepoint so I will give it a go. I can't see why you can't unless there is some built in copy protection in the Sky box....

Individual cinema tickets are vastly overpriced, but I've got one of those Cineworld Unlimited passes, so it costs me £11.99 a month to see as many films as I like.

I remember when Falkirk Cineworld was the only Cineworld in Scotland. Then they bought UGC. Now I'm five minutes from Showcase Paisley yet I prefer going to the Odeon at Braehead as the seats are more comfortable and there's better leg room.

Anyway, in answer to the question, yes they are. The food is ridiculous. At least I've got an Orange phone and don't do much else on Wednesday nights. At least not when there's not football.

UGC has changed back into Cineworld! I don't like Braehead personally. I was there about one month back, and didn't take to it at all.
