I can vouch for this - worst cinema ever!

There's hardly anything I want to see at the cinema these days, and if there is I'm more than happy to wait 'till it comes out on DVD. I have an account on easyCinema which is one of those 'keep them as long as you like' rental sites. Classic film + mates + cheaper food and boozes is much better.

Thirded!

But at least the seats are comfy and the screen is a decent size. The Cineworld is Brighton has just this month been redecorated like the one in Crawley (i.e a Ben & Jerry's parlour) It's very dated. However the seats in Brighton are still narrow and very uncomfy and the screen still sucks; if you get a guy with an afro infront of you, you're *, and don't get me started on the crap that's stuck on the ceiling.

Well, to add to the giant chorus, yep they're way overpriced. I agree that those passes work out pretty well if you see a lot of films - but I go about once every three months if that! My flatmate has a 42" LCD TV, so it's almost like being there :)

...................thirded

i went to the cinema the other week with the other half(to watch 'hancock'), it cost me £26 for 2 tickets, medium sweet popcorn, small salted popcorn(she loves salted!, i can't stand it), pick & mix and 1 slush puppy type drink.

i enjoy the 'cinema expirence' - surround booming out, massive screen & the cinema snacks - but seldom go unless its a film that grabs me. i would go more regulary if it was cheaper!

although on a seperate note i brought a pack of walkers crips the other day from Sommerfield that cost 48p (a normal sized bag!!)

I am quite tempted to go and see Wall.E and see if it's worth all the fuss. Maybe I'll go tomorrow in fact.

The guy that runs the bar that I usually go in after table tennis gives them away because he refuses to charge people any more than 20p for a bag of crisps and doesn't think it's worth just taking 20p. He doesn't make a killing.

his principles are commendable, however i think that i'd be too tight to do that if it was my bar.

i can't believe the prices of some things, a bar of normal sized dairy milk is about 48p as well!

Principled or not, he still has to show auditable accounts every year - if he is not able to show revenues for that expenditure, he could be in some level of do-do.

Well, we decided to go to the cinema last night to see Hancock, (very good film by the way) Lucky it was Orange Wednesday and I got 2 for one, £7.20 for the ticket, add Popcorn, Minstrals and a Coke which at over £9.... quite a expensive night just to watch a film... Im quite glad I don't go to often to!

I did think to my self afterwards thinking nothing does beat watching a film at the cinema, as cosey as our house is, big TV and good surround sound, there is a certian atmosphere in the cinema, and for once, there wasn't any of the talking chavs in there that I mentioned earlier....

i can't say i really have a preference, but i'm marrying a blonde in 3 weeks time so i think that i probably prefer blondes.

but generally my rule used to be - if they are attractive, intelligent and funny - then that usually works for me

I'm now engaged to one.

Having seen pictures of your h'other 'alf on Facebook, I'd not class her as a blonde blonde though, if you see what I mean. Darker blonde is much nicer than light bulb style blonde (natural or not).

Also, that's not to say I don't like any blondes.. just in general I go for darker hair.
