The place where everyone hangs out, chats, gossips, and argues

Chris is doing 8 Out of 10 Cats tonight, so I'm assuming that means it's on Channel 4 tomorrow? I just had a look on the Sky planner and it seems to match up with what Chris said this morning about David Baddiel being on it. The Sky planner reading

The topical comedy panel show continues with host Jimmy Carr. Team captains Sean Lock and Jason Manford are joined by guests David Baddiel and Michael McIntyre.

I'm assuming the McIntyre guy is the posh guy that was on Mock the Week last week. But nice of them to miss of Chris entirely. June Sarpong I can understand, but until last week I hadn't even heard of Michael McIntyre!

My Sky+ has duly been set, but I'm sad enough I'll be in tomorrow night to watch it anyway. I don't do Fridays any more.

Yup, it must be on Channel 4 tomorrow as the questions are always quite news-related so it has to be a quick turnaround.

I really like Michael McIntyre as a stand-up - saw him on Live at the Apollo when that was on.

I'll watch it if he is on it, but 8 out of 10 cats is pish. It's not funny and the gags get FAR too much of a laugh out of the audience. That makes me think its canned laughter.

I don't think it is canned laughter, because I was offered tickets for it once. That doesn't mean they don't tweak it with canned laughter I guess, though.

I'm not denying there is an audience there - you see them in the opening sequence.

I'm just saying there is far too much laughing for the quality of gags!

My sister was on Scottish TV the other day as a representative of all the well behaved kids at T in the Park.

They looked drunk.

This was roughly 12 hours before the stabbing. And the drugs death.

I was once on the "terracing" on Scotsport SPL. Even asked the panel a question. I still get a slagging for it, what an embarrassing football show.

I was on Baddiel and Skinner Unplanned. Well, I was on for about a nanosecond, my ex was on there for a fair while, she was sat next to someone asking a question.

I went to the filming of a Hale and Pace show once. Can't remember if I was in shot or not.

This programme really is hit and miss. Mostly miss sadly. Tonight doesn't seem to be an exception either.

Chris actually does look like he's lost a bit of weight on it. Well done!

I haven't seen Chris on TV for ages - he seems to have lost that "rabbit in the headlights" look he used to get. The show was as average as ever, but Chris was good I thought.

I felt Chris was a bit too quiet on 8 out of 10 cats!! Did anyone notice on the polls at the bottom of the screen (where they get the questions from), one of the polls was from "Harris Interactive"... hmmm... anything to do with Chris Harris??

"The canoe man was doing alright until he steered his canoe up Shit Creek and then lost his paddle!!"

"Thatcher will be buried at the bottom of a man made lake. Well she will be when we stop pissing on her grave!"

Those made me laugh.

My mum text me earlier in the week asking if Thatcher had died and she had missed it. It was only after watching the show last night that I figured out what was going on.

Seriously, why are they arranging her funeral now if she's not dead and not even ill?

Why do so many people hate her? My dad is a bit pro-Thatcher so I only hear one side of the story (and have no opinion on her).

Is that not enough?

Carl Thatcher is bringing out her autobiography this autumn. It might be interesting to see what is was like growing up with Maggie as a mum. 8O

...and the selling of council houses. Great if you had a council house at the time, but shit for everyone since.
