I'm sure the makers of Countdown are comforted by this.

I don't care as long as Carol doesn't leave, then I'd heartbroken!

Oh, to clarify, I haven't watch a whole episode of Countdown since then. Otherwise how would I know it wasn't the same?

Maybe I'm missing the attraction, I never watched Countdown for a start, but... what is the attraction with Carol Vorderman? She's not bad, but nothing special.

So? Ian Beale has been in Eastender since the start (or near the start), do you fancy him?

I don't fancy him - but nor do I watch Eastenders. If I did, I'd probably be reluctant to see a mainstay leave, much like Carol Vorderman.

From what I've seen of Eastenders, I'd be more than happy to punch Ian Beale in the face. He's an arse. I certainly wouldn't cry if he left.

Munki Bhoy wrote:Intelligence, Topher. She's not stunning, but she's not a munter. Her brain makes her more attractive.

In what way? She scraped through university getting a 2nd in engineering, and can do mental arithmetic. I'm not sure that equates to unusual intelligence. I like Countdown though.

Hang on... since when did getting a 2nd in your degree mean you didn't have intelligence? I missed that memo! They've declared me thick!

I said "unusual intelligence", which is what Carole Vordermann is usually credited with. She is certainly not unusually intelligent.

I never said she was. But she's certainly more intelligent than your average TV female presenter.

But you're right, she's not unusually intelligent. If she was I'd probably have to credit myself with that, and while it may have been true when compared with others I went to school with, to be honest my school was thick.
