According to this http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/entertainment/7523781.stm, Amazed by Lonestar is the most popular first dance song at weddings which surprised me as, until last week, I'd never even heard it before in my life and I've been to loads of weddings. Admittedly cool people's weddings that had cool music being played so that song wouldn't get a look in.

Anyway, what was your first song or, if you're not married, what would yours be?

Mine was "Dance with my father" which was herself's choice as her dad had died about a month before the wedding. My mate Dave had "Heaven knows I'm miserable now" by the Smiths at his.

my fiance and i have been going through the 'ordeal' of choosing a first dance song, with little success at the moment, i hadn't heard the lonestar record until i was researching first dances on google, i thought it was very average and wouldn't ahev it at mine.

We had lessons and totally nailed a quick-step routine to "the Happening" by the Supremes. It was ace, even if I do say so myself.

Alas, and I regret this to the day. Not one person filmed it. The general excuse being. "I thought someone else would have, and I wanted to just watch it".

Are you not tempted to re-enact it at an upcoming anniversary?

Was it just me that thought the Changing Track on Jo's show today was an odd choice for a first wedding dance? Sweet Child Of Mine?!

Me, I'm determined if I ever marry I am having The Way You Look Tonight as the first dance. Frank and only Frank on the vocals.

I'm not married, but mine would be either: DJ Sammy's "heaven" (candlelite mix), or "I Deserve It" by Madonna.

The candlelight mix of Heaven is fantastic. The other one I heard, some Cascada song that I forget the name of, wasn't half bad either. There really should be a candlelight remix album - I'd buy it.

I know... I didn't know what I was looking for at the time, so I e-mailed DJ Spoony just before he left R1, and he e-mailed me back to tell me what the version was called. :-)

Any of the old classics by Britney sound good...

"You drive me crazy"
"Hit me baby one more time"

or my personal favourite: "Oops, I did it again!"

Sorry, I hit submit before I remembered where I was. And we can't edit in this section of the forum.

We had No Matter What by Boyzone. Not a favourite band of either of us, but that song was significant.
