The place where everyone hangs out, chats, gossips, and argues

Back to the topic, my least favourite member at the moment is probably Dave at the moment - he seems to be getting really negative about things I like more often so I don't really feel myself 'getting' him. He's just too grumpy overall really - but I realise that's what gives him his charm too.

No it's not. I agree that Wales has several different accents, but England has far more.. accents and dialect apparently change every three miles or so, so of course Wales is going to have less variations in the accents than English.

Agreed TIAL, Dave is too arsey about things and I'm not sure I'd like to meet him in real life. Moyles you don't get the same negativity vibe. Having said that, that can prove to be hilarious when combined with the rest of the team, or indeed when with Chappers.

Cat's accent renders unable to pronouce basic English sounds. I've only heard her's from here though. Except Foots, but being a Scot I'll say his accent is ace. And Weejie.

Having now heard young Catherine talk, I didn't think she sounded that strong.. but then she was apparently trying not to be too strong. And also, as I said to Zoot, the word 'eurghhh' is pretty much the same whatever part of the country you come from.

That's the American stereotype, which I believe was part of the point. Just as the English are spiffing in their bowler hats, moustaches and posh accents, the Irish are all thick, the Welsh sing all the time and do unspeakable things with sheep, and us Scots all wear kilts and eat deep fried everything.

Okay, so the last one might be true, but that's besides the point. The point is stereotypes are, more or less, based on a very small portion of the population that do happen to fit it.

Of course, the other part of the American stereotype would have people wondering what I am talking about in the first place. Scotland, Wales, Ireland... all part of England, right?

I'd expect nothing less of a woman from Kent, especially if she has roots in the West Country.

Don't be a silly boy. There was no point.

Indeed. Is that not why you're called the "United" Kingdom? I just call the whole island England. It makes it that much simpler. And no different accents or even languages. Everyone sounds just like Dick Van Dyke from Mary Poppins.

I do have a strong accent but I think it gets worse when I am talking to people that aren't from Birmingham because i'm more aware of it. That said you woke me up at 8 in the morning so i probably sound like a cave man.

Fair enough. I'll just call your country Texas then. Same thing after all.

I'm fairly certain I don't know this.

Sounds congenital. You have my sympathies.
