There is a table tennis team in Milton Keynes called the Milton Keynes Newarks for that very reason.

A girl at my school was called Pamela Ness. Shorten that first name to P and... well, you can guess school wasn't great for her.

A teacher at my old high school was called Ian dick we were told just to call Mr Dickey instead of Mr Dick. In my cause I was aloud to call him Ian as I was a teachers pet :p if you want a odd name I will give you my last name and that is Redpath most people oddly seem to spell it wrong

Oh, I'm a graduate of the Computing department of Glasgow Uni too. If anyone heard Scott Mills going on about that in one show, you'll know just how many odd names I was subjected to.

W Paul *.
Sandy Beavers.
Simon Gay.
Peter Dickman.
Muffy Calder.

I think that was the five Scott mentioned. We never worked out what the W stood for, we just hoped it really was William.
