This may have been previously covered, but what songs conjure up memories of childhood for you (either happy or sad)?

Mine are the "Buggles" - Video Killed The Radio Star (my first record). And also "Abba's" - Thank You For The Music. I remember a bunch of us as young girls eagerly racing to see Abba The Movie during that particular time period. :-)

Achy Breaky Heart... because when it came out I always thought it was (and sang it as) 'my eggy brekky heart'. Took me ages to work out why people laughed.

Oh... everything I do... that reminds me of when I was with an ex-bf, and he bizarrely thought I'd bought the song because I was going out with him... "Everything I do, I do it for you"... it wasn't.

Always - Bon Jovi. Reminds me of my first crush. I'd like to say first girlfriend, but I was a total eejit and never acted on it.

Prince's "I Would Die 4 U" because I had a stalker in high school that would follow us from party to party and he'd always sing that song when he saw me. Oh, and Tears for Fears "Shout" because it was always on the radio the summer it came out and it reminds me of cruising along 101 in my friend's convertible. And super old would be "Candy Man" by Sammy Davis, Jr. and "Mrs. Robinson" by Simon & Garfunkel because they remind me of my childhood in New York.

I'm going to say no as I have no idea where that is. Or was, depending on whether it's still there or not!

You've not lived in Paisley long then have you.

Or Glasgow actually.

It's a nightclub of dreams. (Two strobe lights + 70p a voddie = class)

Nah, used to live out in the sticks until a few years ago. And now that I'm finally in a position to make use of such facilities, I don't get out much as I have a mortgage.

Pulp - Disco 2000 played at my first football game when I got a cup of coffee spilt down my back. Hurt like a muthafungla.

Jacko - Bad & Paul Simon - You can call me Al, always seemed to be on in the car
Vic Reeves and The Wonderstuff - Dizzy, Yazz & The Plastic Population - The Only Way Is Up, remembered listening whilst drinking a (glass) bottle of coke with a straw in a pub with my dad

the first tracks I remember hearing on the radio were Wuthering Heights by Kate Bush and Ghost Town by The Specials, and the first record I bought was Prince Charming by Adam Ant. Oh and I had my first snog to China In Your Hand by T'Pau :D
