Aside from the genius that is R1, do any of you have any other favourites that you like to listen to, or any you have just discovered?

Last night, whilst pfaffing about with the television, I came across Kiss = www.totalkiss.com, which was great!! 8)

6music. I know I've said it before but it really is great. I particularly enjoy Adam & Joe, Jon Richardson, Stephen Merchant and the Craig Charles Funk & Soul show. A very underrated station.

BBC Radio Scotland for the football, and that's about it. Seriously, the others all annoy me.

Especially Radio Clyde. I am fairly sure Chris Moyles plays more music than they do. 7/10 times I will put it on and it will be playing adverts. 2/10 times it will be a competition. The other 1/10 will be rubbish dance music only a ned would listen to (usually a Saturday night).

Real Radio occasionally holds my interest for a song. Which will usually be interrupted half way through by the news.

XFM is a bit hit and miss, but probably the best of a bad bunch up here. I'm not much of a rocker for Rock Radio. Which is ironic given I'm typing this listening to Jo Whiley playing Slipknot at the moment. Seriously considering putting something else on.

'Yorkshire's Biggest Disco'! My mum listens to that. In Guildford.

I like how there is normally about a minute of silence before the news starts. Smooth.

BBC London mainly for Danny Baker but Jazzy B's show is utterly fantastic as well.

Radio 2 when Evans, Ross, Lamarr or Radcliffe and Maconie are on. Five Live if I fancy the sport or a bit of serious discussion. I'd like to listen to 6Music more, but I don't often have the chance.. there's a DAB radio here, but mum usually has a CD on.

Radio Clyde are pish.

Do Real Radio still do that thing, especially late at night, where the music just stops for about three minutes and they broadcast silence, only to be interrupted by the news?

My favourite was when the music finished and the news jingle kicked in. We then had about three minutes of the news jingle followed by another song, which had the news being read over it. Both the song and the news were at full volume.

It's a mess.

I either have R1 on or the Ipod/CD playing in the car, I never have the radio on at home, we usually have the music channels on.
If I do switch from R1 its just to Radio Mercury in Crawley, but thats just for the travel. I hate commerical radio and refuse to listen to it. The better half listens to Heart, which is just full of blimmin adverts, that said, she now listens to Chris Moyles on the way to work.... I have shown her the light.

This may have already been asked but, what is XFM ? It's been mentioned quite a bit in this thread but I've never heard of it !
