Oh my god the BBC have done it again! What a load of tosh!

A bunch of kids running around as spies after a nuclear disaster after the 2012 Olympics. It's like something put together in a school film club!

Acting - crap
Storyline - dull
Credibility - Zero

Mr Rachel did a good job with the music but I'm not watching it just for the music!

I haven't seen it for ages, but Spooks was good when that fella was in it (Tom?)

I love Spooks but this is a spin off series called Spooks - Code 9. Don't bother watching it.

Ah yes telly, when telly goes all 'Yoof' on us, flips it's cap backwards and tries to do the butterfly and breakdance. A blatant attempt to get down with de kids innit. Judging by these comments I is not gonna be watching it innit.

August 2008 - Telly ran out of ideas.

August 2008? That's optimistic, I'd say they ran out in the mid-90s and many others would probably argue before that.

More of a slow death, I still think 'August 2008' should appear on the gravestone.

God, you lot sound like my Grandparents (who date the death of TV at around mid-1970). TV will always make the same proportion of good and bad stuff, but the bad stuff gets forgotten. That's my opinion anyway.

And what exactly is the good stuff at the moment? Heroes (which will be forgotten in years to come anyway) and Top Gear are the only ones in my opinion.

Also, even if they were still churning out some classics, the proportion would be different due to the number of channels we now have.

Good recent comedies (since 2000):
Black Books
The Ali G Show
Extras
Garth Marenghi's Darkplace
Green Wing
I'm Alan Partridge
The Mighty Boosh
The Office (both UK and US)
Curb Your Enthusiasm
Arrested Development
Family Guy
Scrubs
The Daily Show
The Colbert Report

Those are just the comedies, there are loads of good dramas being made too. As for whether or not they'll become 'classics' is another matter because there is so much made these days people can watch what suits them (rather than having to stick to whatever the main 4/5 channels provides).
The days of TV that everyone in the country talks about might be over, but I think it's still a pretty good era for shows.
