Considerably better than any joke you've ever told on here, Viv.

Still not funny though.

Look, if you're really serious about this, I reckon the best web site you can use is W3 Schools.

HTML is different to the bbCode you use on here though.. in some ways it's similar, but it's certainly not as simple.

Agreed, that is a fabulous resource.

With the movement towards a semantic web, and the push towards CSS based designs, [X]HTML is actually becoming quite different to bbCode.

W3Schools is the reason I passed my JavaScript class.

And I'm still surprised at how so many people love the internets but seem to bristle when you talk about the tools to bring it to you. HTML, CSS, LAMP- they aren't dirty words.

S4B, sorry. My comment carries lots of baggage from people I work with. The person who designed my institute's (hideously un-usable) website brags about not knowing any HTML and doesn't know what the C is CSS stands for. That's her job! (Oh, this should be for the other thread.)

Making me smile today: the thought of donuts after my dentist appointment, which I should get dressed for.

Nice one!

Is it still local to you or are you venturing outside of Milton Keynes?

Local.. it's Newport Pagnell, which is the outskirts of Milton Keynes.

Must remember to bring my camera.

Oh ok - that's cool.

Is that area quite village-like compared to the centre of Milton Keynes? It's just that I think my friend goes camping there sometimes.

Oh good idea! Take a tape measure also! I wish I thought of bringing a tape measure when we looked round our flat as then we would have known certain things such as window lengths; where as now we have to wait until we're in there before we can get blinds.
