Something that has a double 'c', like 'accurate', or a 'c' followed by a 'q' like 'acquire'? Or it could be something ending in 'tion' like 'equation'.

Hmm. How about something like a simple mistake? Like when people use "affect" and "effect" or "bare" and "bear" or "bate" and "bait" interchangeably?

Or maybe it's a super easy word that people just don't think about and phonetically write? My older sister used to constantly spell "of" wrong.

That said, when I was in elementary school and in the spelling bee finals, I lost out because I let Tracy (funny how I remember her name) cut in front of me in line. She got the easy "condominium" and I got "mozzarella" -- I'd never even heard of mozzarella! Since then, I've never gotten it wrong...

Really? Why would lots of people need to spell it? Surely there are more common words that are misspelt on a regular basis?

I dunno I just knew it was a sod of a word because when my mum used to have to use it when she was writing up her notes on the ward, she came home one day because apparently she'd spelt it 5 different ways in one day.

They should have done as I think there's another illness with a slightly similar spelling.

Shame they don't tell that to the dirty people that walk in to the hospital with all sorts of diseases - I swear nurses come out with more illnesses than when they went in.

Again, why do loads of people need to write that? Not a common enough word to be the MOST misspelt word.

The one I always get wrong is separate. I have to think about that every time.
