What Moyles was saying about his friend who goes mad if you imply he was guilty.. I still think he is guilty.

My thoughts exactly! Though, give OJ credit, he's out there (on the golf course) every day "looking for the real killer."

Actually, I think Off The Wall was his peak. Thriller was ok, but not as good - and its been all down hill since then. Off The Wall was a brilliant album though.

Probably, but it's not like Thriller or Bad were exactly rubbish! Off The Wall is probably the best album overall, but there are some cracking songs on the next few albums too. I wasn't that fussed about anything before Off The Wall, or after Dangerous was my point. Okay, maybe Earth Song, but that was pretty much a one off for me.

To me, listening to his music now would be like listening to Gary Glitter.

I disagree. Despite my earlier comment about him, the distinct difference is that Michael Jackson is innocent and nothing has been proven. It has tainted my view of him to a degree, because you're left wondering what if, but what I think makes no difference. It's not like my view is made up of any fact, it's just me having an unfounded opinion that he did it. Very 'dangerous' (see what I did there?!)

His personal antics to one side, he was, and still is an excellent musician/dancer.

We know for a fact he slept in the same bed as someone else's child. Regardless of whether or not he was convicted of anything, that is totally wrong under any circumstances. If in my opinion he should have been found guilty (which is my opinion), I don't believe it's right to listen.

But that is only your opinion, which the same as mine, has no factual evidence to back it up. Until he is proven guilty I see no logocal reason to boycott his music. If you presume guilt then the judicial system may as well be scrapped, and replace it with a phone vote on a Saturday night.

He admitted to sharing a bed with someone else's child, did he not? That's enough for me.

Anyway, my not listening to him is hardly going to bother him, it's just my personal decision.

He did admit it, but then I happen to think that he honestly doesn't see anything wrong with it. And if all he is doing is sharing a bed and there's nothing else untoward going on then maybe the fault is with the rest of us that can't see past society's failings.

I dunno about anyone else, but there seems to be a lot more worrying about adults and kids than there was when I was a kid. I'm not saying its a new thing, it isn't, but it just seems to have come to the fore more now and so everyone's more suspicious and paranoid because of it.

Point being, when Michael Jackson was growing up would anyone have thought anything of him sharing a bed with some other guy? I don't think so, and maybe he still thinks that way. Its not like he lives in the same world as the rest of us. He has isolated himself from society for so long why should he be affected by it and its paranoia?

Because that "paranoia" (although I would probably choose a different word) is one of the keys to the way the world is run - and he can isolate himself from it as much as he likes, he still has to subject himself to its laws. And by extension its behavioural requirements.

Which is fine, but there isn't actually anything illegal in what he has admitted to. Taboo perhaps, but he's not behind bars because society frowns on his behaviour and thinks he's a bit weird.

Oh right, and because he doesn't see anything wrong with it, that makes it OK?

So I can go and murder someone and if I don't see a problem with that, I'll get off scot-free? Or does that only work if I'm a good singer?

If you're thinking of taking up singing we'll need someone for the official anthem in 2012, how about 'Ping Pong's coming home'?

Wow!! Didn't realise i'd start such a heated debate!! Good to see it got some opinions flowing....

Me?

As a father myself, I can honestly say I wouldn't let him anywhere near my daughter, but on the flip side, I do pity him. I honetly believe his life from 5yrs plus left him cold and lonely and didn't allow him to release the same emotions through his youth.... To the point where his development was stunted and he is now left with a mental age much less than his pyhsical age.... No excuse for thinking he can get away with 'sleep overs', as already mentioned, society itself outlaws that and rightly so - to protect the many from the few. A shame? Maybe, but better to be safe than sorry.

Still, no reason to not listen to his music, unless you simly don't k like it...!!! Bad was bordeline, anything after that... Nah....!! Although i'd flight to my last breath if someone tried to pinch my 'best of' Jackson 5 cd....!!

S'true though, look at how many child "stars" go off the rails:

Drew Barrymore
The Girl from Different Strokes
Willis From Different Strokes
Macauly Culkin
Jack and Kelly Osbourne

Too early to think of others but kids that have a lot of fame early on have loads of problems.
