I want to go see The Dark Knight at the Imax - I might make it this weekend.

The last Harry Potter movie was quite good up there.

But that's just it, that's why we still go to the cinema. The big screen experience. It doesn't matter how big your telly is, the cinema's bigger and noiser. Take Star Wars for example, much better on a big screen. It almost loses something on the telly.

After that there's only two other reasons to go to the cinema. To see something before it's on the telly by about 6 months, or for a date as it's 2 hours you don't need to think up small talk.

Well I personally love the cinema and lately have been going pretty much every week. We go on Sunday nights and there are no chavs then. I've always found the cinema to be a good experience as long as the film is ok.

Oh and my missus' parents have a tv which I think is about 62" across. Wider than my arm span anyway. I find it too small really so stick with my projector which, in the basement, can give me a tv size of an entire wall! A great 5.1 and a home popcorn maker and bob's yer auntie's live in lover, one home cinema!

It does indeed. The cinema doesn't really bother me, except when babies/young children who proceed to cry, are brought along. No-one with common sense would take a baby to an actual cinema.

Other than that, the places don't bother me at all. In fact, I thoroughly enjoy an afternoon/evening at the cinema, complete with popcorn 'n' all.

Not that 'The Dark Knight' was unworthy of a 2nd screening - it was, I just needed to see it again to erase the memory of a giggly big fat lass who I had to keep standing up for so she could go to the toilet (about 5 times) the scariest thing about that film was the prospect of her falling on me and crushing me.

On a more realistic note - I saw that Dark Knight malarky at the imax on Saturday.

1) Cracking film
2) Heath Ledger - much respect
3) The imax filmed scenes were incredible
4) It's 45 mins too long
5) When going to the imax, don't sit in the front five rows - by the time the film was over, I felt I had been on a five month sea voyage... knackered.
