Didn't listen to Radio one much before I got into Chris so I doubt I'll be listening when he eventually leaves.

I think Scott is quite good. Not as good as Chris, but he probably ranks as second place in terms of Radio 1 DJs. I've only been listening for a year, so I can't comment on whether his material is repetitive. However, the only problem is that the show doesn't have that much material. In the hour and a half this morning before I got to school, he did one feature, and one other proper link (maybe two... I was half-asleep). I only listen to the podcast, which condenses everything into 30 or 40 minutes.

By the way, does anyone else find it weird that Scott gets a 40 minute daily podcast, and Chris gets a 40 minute weekly podcast??

Yep, I noticed before, its quite a mouthful for a days material, if it were a daily Moyles one then I'd understand for sure - but then the quality is in tip top condition if its weekly.

As this is a Chris Moyles site, not a R1 fansite, I would assume all the Mills haters will listen to whatever station Moyles is on.

I can't believe Scott's gonna have the actual Demi Moore in next week. Has to be a wind up!

This morning's guest, Katy Brand, was class - excellent rapport with Mills. Well done.

As opposed to a fake cardboard cut-out?*

*I realise this has been done before, but Viv still persists in using the word 'actual' when it's not needed.

Itself a rip-off of Jimmy Kimmel's uneccesary censorship in the US (which is probably a rip-off of something else).

I like Scott, but it's been a while since I heard an idea on his show that hasn't been done better elsewhere. Personally I think Greg James is better than Scott at the moment. People comlain (or they used to do around here) that Chris didn't change his features enough or similar, but Scott's even worse than this, because at least with Chris's banter the features dont matter so much, but Scott relies on them so much that I can't listen to him every day because it becomes a bit tired, even if he does rotate them when on breakfast. That said Scott is a capable DJ, and a permenant move to breakfast would be the kick up the bum he needs. Just a shame that wont happen for a long time yet (well not that much of a shame, since I like Chris a lot more)

Edit: Just to add to whoever asked about Scott's daily podcast, I believe Aled once said on here that the show trialed a daily podcast when they went to New York a few years back and the take up wasn't brilliant compared to the weekly one so they stuck with that. Maybe Scott's audience has different wants, or there is also the fact of getting a breakfast show podcasted daily in time so people can listen to it while its still relevant.

Thanks. As far as I can tell, every single proper link goes into the Mills podcast. For that reason, I don't listen to the actual show, just the podcast.

Re fish heads post:

Wonder of he'll start apologizing to Matt Damon next for not having enough time on his show for him.

Oh hang on he's already done the whole Matt Damon thing hasn't he?

Haven't listened to Scott this stint.
Sometimes listen to the 1st hour of his show before turning over to Chris Evans.

In my view; aside from recorded content dripped between hours of boring records a general Scott link will be something like:

Scott: Weird thing happened to me today Chopper.
Chappers: What?
Random lady: Giggle.
Scott: Heh (fake held back laugh)
Chappers: What happened?
Scott: Bloke came round to fix my washing machine…
Chappers: Your washing machine? Sounds like the intro to a porn film!
Scott: Wouldn’t know chopper!
Random lady: Giggle.
Chappers: Yeah right!
Scott: Anyway… turns out he left this enormous spanner!
General laughter.
Scott: I mean what am I going to do with an enormous spanner?
Chappers: Snort…I’m sure you’ll think of something!
Scott: Text 81199, what can I do with my enormous spanner? Here’s Snow Patrol and first Kylie!

Genius...?
