just too let you all know that as well as downloading this weeks podcast at 6.30 this friday. The chris moyles podcast will air on radio one at 4:00 - 4:30am

Question for everyone though. Why is the podcast being broadcast on radio one on friday morning?
If it is for the purpous of having it broadcast on radio. Didn't chris say it was the best of the best that couldn't originally be broadcast on the first podcast. Which would mean that it would of been broadcast on the radio earlier in the year. So what would be the purpose of broadcasting this podcast?

It is broadcast (and has been for some time) to get around some BBC policy regarding new material on a podcast. Originally, they could only have material that has been taken from the show on the podcast, by broadcasting it, they're now allowed to add extra stuff to it.

I'm confused when you say "for some time". I know they used to broadcast it on a Saturday which is why it used to be half an hour long but I'm sure Aled said a while ago that now they don't broadcast it they can make it slightly longer.

but. All the material that is shown on todays podcast has been broadcast on the show in the last 6 months or so. Thats where i find it confusing that it was broadcast on the radio this morning.

There's also a time element.

We can put stuff in the podcast that we broadcast within the last 7 days. Best of the Best podcasts won't have been broadcast within the last 7 days so we need to give it it's own airing.

I recall Comedy Dave saying the last time re the best stuff not good enough was "all filler and no killer" but it's still pretty good.
