my mate put the 'the pogues' over the ringing of his phone at christmas and can't it off, so everytime i ring i hear it, my ringtone is the 'the killers - when you were young' which doesn't get embaressing as i usually answer before it gets going, my message alert is 'yoda' saying 'message from the darkside there is' which is cool, but does get a bit embarressing.

I believe my ringtone, for the odd rare time thatmy phone isn't on silent, is the Only Fools and Horses theme tune. And I think my text alert is Del Boy saying 'shut up you tart'.

Not when you factor that he has told him his name is Topher and he responded as sorry Rodney, so when you consider the original was confusion over Dave and Rodney, but in this instance the replacement of the correct sorry Dave, with sorry Rodney, when considered the extra name in this discussion could be seen as humorous, especially when you are not hung up on the repeating verbatim of the original, but recognize the difference in this situation and applaud the fact that the difference has been used in two way for comic effect. i.e both in terms of perpetuating the fact he get the name wrong, but interestingly also using Rodney's real name, which of course, and to great comedic effect Trigger never did.

I tend to keep mine on silent for the most part, however that's usually when I'm at work or such. If I am outside I have the ringer on. Currently it's Viva La Vida by Coldplay.

There was one point where the day after Rangers were knocked out of the champions league my girlfriend phoned me as I sat down at my desk first thing in the morning. Sadly for the still hurting Rangers fans, my ring tone at the time was the Champions League theme. I got a few "* off" looks for that one.
