My Lecturer was discussing yesterday viewing programmes on the Internet. He was saying the BBC are already under pressure to do more & more about this.

What do you think about on-line viewing? Would you rather sit in front of the T.V., or are you very pro change?

Since I broke my Freeview box I've come to rely upon the iPlayer. Since these days if you haven't got yourself a Plasma then you are considered below the poverty line I shall probably have to save up for one of those, and a 'FreeSat' box, which is where Freeview is heading apparently.

So judging by all that, computer telly is far cheaper. And thats why the iPlayer is a winner.

I have no problem watching TV on the net if that's the only way, but I'd much rather the actual TV, just cos it's bigger and the chairs are comfier! If I've missed something my flatmate can usually download it and put it on the server so I rarely use the iplayer for watching TV.

If there is something to watch on the I-Player I have missed, I will watch it on the I-Player. We dont even get freeview in my new house!

I use the iPlayer quite a lot because I tend not to be in when programmes I want to watch are broadcast. It's even better now there's a high quality output.

Spotted in today's Metro: "From Saturday, telly addicts will be able to experience a new on-demand service from the BBC: iPlayer is introducing Series Stacking, allowing us to catch up on every episode of selected shows".

Yup, Me to, its great for watching the IPlayer and also when we have people over just play iTunes and turn off the TV, saves having blimmin music channels on with adverts and stuff. much better!

I too have my pc connected to the tv in the lounge. It makes iplayer an even better idea, as sitting on a hard chair watching TV is a bit of a pain, quite literally. Also looking at web pages i.e. choosing a holiday, or looking at photos is much better on larger screen. For email and sites such as this where there is more typing to be done, the laptop is far more comfortable on the eyes though, as I dont touch type so have to keep re focusing on the tv.

Before I moved I had my old tower connected to my tele and amp, it was good

Now I have a laptop and thats it. Not enough space in my new place to connect everything up according to the Mrs!

Or a good example of what happens when someone comes into your home and despite being asked not to crams it full of crap you didn't want. In your house. Its no more of a gender specific response than the fact that DD is contemplating ignoring what his girlfriend says about HER house (into which he has only just moved) is typical of how useless men can be at times.

So you're basically just doing what women do and making an assumption then passing it off as fact?

I think it has more to do with knowing that the cause is already lost due to you probably being right anyway.

I had a feeling that would be your comeback. I think what you mean is that women seek the close, personal relationships with men but once they get it, complain about the man doing men things.
