Is it just me that doesn't quite 'get' why they do these sorta special weeks? What makes it that different for me, the listener, that they are speaking into a microphone on the other side of the planet? I don't quite follow.

Don't get me wrong, I think that it will provide them with lots of amusing stories, different comedy situations that they get into and that they might manage to get guests from the other side of the pond that they wouldn't normally get to talk to, however - is it gonna make a huge difference?

That said, if I was told I had to go to LA for an expenses paid trip, I wouldn't knock it!

I think it just is for a free holiday, it's not as though they're out looking for new listeners is it? The guests are pretty similar to the ones they could have here. If it was for the American fans to meet them then that would be different but it does just seem like a jolly for them all at our expense.

It was a funny show but no funnier than it would be after they have had a couple of weeks off anyway. Agreed I wouldn't turn it down either but, like Foots, I don't quite get it. How do they justify it?

And, no, they wouldn't quite be able to take the piss out of the Americans as well as they can now. They need to have a whole pack of them to mess with. They've already made fun of New York accents back in '05. I suppose it's only fair they come here and have a poke at what you people keep claiming I have...a "California accent." (You're wrong, so you know.)

I found the show absolutely hilarious and we're ending up with great content with the videos and the pictures. (I know my opinion counts for squat as I don't pay the license fee -- but you have it anyhow!)
