I've been driven to another topic. I wasn't gonna do any topix today, but as I am feeling so pleased at my bargain of £12.00 off a bottle of perfume this morning, I feel compelled to post.

Have you ever managed to bag a really great bargain? Have you got money off something where you didn't expect it? Did you manage to get something for free?

I had three or four different 1970s vintage coats which i got really cheap from a secondhand shop in Manc. I think now they'd fetch 20-30 squid on ebay.

However, when my ex kicked me out I stored all my stuff in my friend's basement and her housemate helped herself to half my stuff. I had no proof what had been there so I had no option but to write it all off and move on. I still miss those coats now. In fact I still occasionally remember books that I used to own and she nicked. Thank God she wasn't the same shoe size.

I had a bargin a few weeks ago - We decied to get dominos pizza for lunch, and we also get Luncheon Vouchers from work, I went up to Dominos, asks for a small pizza and we should get discount through our company, they gave me free Chicken Strippers. So I had a 4 slice pizza, chicken strippers, came to £2.50, i paid with my Lunch vouchers, so basically it was free! result!

I got 12 bottles of wine free from Tescos recently. Instead of scanning one bottle times twelve, the dosy bird scanned the barcode on the box and it registered nothing at all on the till!! That wine tasted good

I was told a similar thing in the optician when I asked about laser surgery - they could do one eye and you got the other eye free. Turned out that you really do get what you pay for though and the guy wasn't doing it properly... seems he kept cutting corneas.

Not me personally, but my boyfriend once found in a charity shop over £100 worth of scuba diving gear that was going for £5. And he knew how much it was worth because he worked at the shop that sold it for 6 months!

They are just so cool

A few years ago they sold me £1200 worth of audio equipment for £700

If you're looking for audio visual equipment then see them as they will beat any price and the customer service would make it worth going to them anyway
