Bit of a random topic, but have you discovered any new music (not currently played on R1) which you like?

I've discovered Melody Gardot. Spotted her on TV a little while ago, and bought the album. Gorgeous. Check out her life story by clicking on the link!!

I'm amazed even Wiki is describing her stuff as "jazz". It really isn't, its easy listening middle of the road nothing music, and even that not of the best. She wouldn't have had any recognition at all if she didn't have the sympathy vote because of her disability.

I haven't read the wiki article, but just the name conjures up images of Katie Melua, which is very bad... the name sounds very easy listening, middle of the road.

Oh blimey, Katie Melua is a goddess in comparison. She can sing. She can write a melody! Not my cup of tea, but Katie Melua is talented.
