Did you mug a baker?

Reminds me of that episode of The Simpsons where Homer's brother invents that thing....oh you know.

They're old (if that makes a difference). I bought one with my first bonus at my job and one with my last bonus when I quit. And, had that cute guy not pointed out that one fell off in the subway station, I'd have lost it. This is just proper maintenance because in my current financial situation, I'd never be able to buy another!

I am in Florida at Disney World and just got age checked for the 2nd time in 1 day.

Of course the reaction should be 'how flattering...I'm 34 (true)' But sadly they still require evidence!

So despite being 34, I had a coke!!! (a cola)

I even showed them my grey hairs... They said I could have put them in for effect!!!True but also for effect did I hire a 7 month old child and older wife??? (also with me!!!)

Raising £1227 for Macmillan on our quiz night on Friday is making me smile. I've now raised all the money I needed (and then some) so thank you Viv, Tial and S4B for sponsoring me and in S4's case, donating stuff for the quiz.

All I have to do now is run the damn thing...

Making me smile is the weather. I was woken up at 5 AM to the sounds of thunder and big flashes of lightning. It's still doing it, occasionally. Wow. It's like living in a real place with real weather. How exciting ;)

I love a good thunderstorm - I haven't seen one for a long time.

Me either, obviously. I wish it was still dark outside. Although it's funny because all 3 of the cats and the dog are running around like, "Holy crap! What's that?!"

Me too, the last great one I saw was when we were camping in the Lake District. We stayed up for about 2 hrs watching it, the tent went from pitch black to almost the equivilent of daylight, and the thunder was like nothing I've ever heard. The storm was directly above us for ages. Greast stuff, and very cosy too!

I dont, I hate them. I was 'knocked off' my pushbike when stuck out in a storm as a child, about 9 or 10 I think.... Got caught miles from home, and was cycling back like mad down pavement alongside dual carriageway to get back home. Then a bang of Thunder so loud over my head it knocked me clean off my bike - into the road - with headlights headed my way!!! Pooooooo'd myself.

Odd story I know, not actually harmed by a storm, but ever since, as soon as I hear the rumble in the distance, my neck hairs stand on end!! 8O

Plus one of my mates has been struck by lightening. Twice. Although that's just funny!!

Somethings making me smile today, but I am not going to discuss it.

All I will say it's proof, if it was ever needed, that this is the best fan site in the whole wide world.

See, I find this madness. A thunderstorm directly overhead is just as capable of killing you as a tornado - and unlike with a tornado you have absolutely no indication prior to a strike as to exactly where its going to hit.

I'm sure I've said this before - some friends of mine had their house destroyed and one of them killed by a lightning strike. Storms are spectacular to look at, but you really should treat them with a bit of respect - especially when they are directly overhead. You people are all mad!!!!!!!!
