.... getting a bit boring now?

Her constant "witty" piping up in the background is beginning to grind on me now, i wonder if this is why she hardly appears in any of the links (in comparison to Dom)

Her reaction to Champagne being her favourite Oasis song was nearly as bad as her recent interviews

If others don't agree, i'll hold my hands up and say sorry, but i would like to know what others think

To be honest I've never found her as good as Juliette...some of her sports knowledge is distinctly lacking as well, however there are far worse culprits in the media of this than Carrie.

Just thinking about days when Carrie has been ill and Dom's read news and sport on his home I haven't noticed any difference (or even that she wasn't there!) so that may be the most telling thing.

For me Carrie is fine but is never going to bring anything to the show herself besides giving Chris the chance to do some 'posh-girl' jokes.

It would depend - if she was my customer, or my end user, or the person I was providing a service for, then I would feel that perhaps I should listen to what they had to say, and possibly do my job a bit better. I suppose this person constitutes the audience to whom Carrie, as much as anyone else on the show is accountable to - but I don't actually agree with him myself, I like her a lot better than I used to, and I miss her when she isn't there. I agree with you, I think she's doing a great job.

Yes, and the 'Camilla Ice' and 'Marcus the American reading out the sport' were brilliant.

Why? If you believe that what you've said is true then why apologise? Sod what anyone else thinks, your opinion is your own.

Certainly not the worst thread ever, i've seen far worse on here, thank you

I take your comments on board, maybe i'm just being picky, yet for me todays show again shows how little she gets in involved now, her only real quip was "bring a bacon butty" back when Neil was knocking them up, amazing

Umm I think this is a joke, if you say it ala "comic book guy" then it does make me smile, as evidently this is not the worst thread ever, for that you have a host of threads generated by a certain Scottish Lassie.

Hey leave the gal alone. Carrie is a great part of the team. As others have said that camilla ice routine was great craic!

I'm with davidbattenberg.

She's a long time member of the show, and was great with the Camilla Ice thing, but she's not particularly entertaining on a day-to-day basis.

To be fair, it isn't her job to be so. For example, Rachel is probably the best producer Chris has ever had at Radio 1, but by no means the best on air. Incompetence is funnier and makes for more dangerous radio, i.e. Greyhead!

Greyhead was so funny, his complete incompetence made him even funnier, whilst trying really hard to keep Chris in line. Fire At Will was a genius piece of radio, and it doesn't matter how many times I listen to it I still laugh every time. Great memories from the afternoon shows. It would be good to have greyhead in, say one day per week. Like a Friday show where they could rip him apart! Rachel is great though, it's a completely different dynamic to the show, and she can be very funny. As for Carrie, she does nothing for me. Camilla Ice was fantastic, but mostly she only gives Chris ammo for posh jokes.

I like Carrie, but if she wants to be a serious journalist she didn't really do herself many favours with the Becks and Giggs interview.

Chris got well narky with her in the 6.45 ramble bit, it was embarrassing actually.

Chris said something like come on Carrie join in and she pipes up " I can't get a word in" it sounded a bit hissy, then she back tracked and made it try and sound less of a dig, really was a bit of a telling off if you ask me. I reckon she's on her way out.

"Save Carrie campaign" I think we need pin badges and lots of statements in the dirt on the back of white vans.

I don't want Carrie to go - but maybe the dynamic has changed a bit, its hard to tell. I hope she stays, but other aspects of her life have changed massively lately, it's not an unusual set of circumstances to prompt a person to think about changing their job too.

No, IMO Carrie is an integral part of the team. Along with Aled, she is someone for Chris to mock or take the mick out of (not in a cruel way, obviously :-) which gives the show more laughs I think.

She does seem to have been less involved as of late, but that may be due to her cold. Who knows.
