My brother was in Heartbeat for a Christmas Special one year - he reckoned Greengrass was an absolute old bastard, and apparently he was hated on the set. Nick Berry was ok though.

I quite regularly see Des Douglas and have a drink with him, but I don't expect anyone to have heard of him. He's only famous to certain people.

I don't really do the famous people thing, I don't go to places where they tend to go. When I was a kid, I went to London for the day and my mum climbed a lamppost to see what the big crowd across the road was excited about. She was very disappointed to find that she'd climbed a lamppost for New Kids on the Block.

Ping Pong?

How can "Ping Pong" be a question in relation to what you quoted from Topher?

"He's only famous to certain people."
"Ping Pong?"

I thought you were the grammar queen? Who is this 'Ping Pong' you talk of?

*waves his pedantic willy frantically*

But that's not what you wrote?

You wrote, and I quote verbatim:

"He's only famous to certain people."
"Ping Pong?"
