Did anyone see the Stephen Fry in America thing last night? He was having Thanksgiving dinner with some wealthy Southern family and they DEEP FRIED 2 TURKEYS! And they had marshmallows melted into the vegetables! Aren't sweet potatos sickly ENOUGH??!!

Fried food, Scotchers thread... I see what you did there. Pity Scotland doesn't have the southern US weather. Florida for holidays for a while yet then.

Not that massive - I reckon they were about 8lb turkeys, not huge, and they went in sort of head first (only of course they didn't still have heads), and they had two separate deep fat fryers - probably special ones for the job I imagine. It was quite an eye opener......
