Dave's choice was 3rd Eye Blind - Semi Charmed Life. Which is what I shall go for.

I was conflicted - I loved four out of the six (I can't stand the Dario G and Ghostbusters is just getting boring now), but I've gone with Dom because Graceland has personal significance for me.

Ghostbusters made sense today what with it being Halloween and everything. But I still went for Dom. My favourite Paul Simon song.

That, and it reminded me that my National Lampoon Vacation box set came yesterday and I've got all weekend to watch them - Chevy Chase tastic!

I hate that Paul Simon song. Urgh. I love Semi-Charmed Kind of Life and Ghostbusters. In honour of Halloween, I went with Ghostbusters. 'Listen, do you smell something?' 8)

Me and a guy at work have been quoting ghostbusters at each other for about a month now. And all because I brought twinkies back from the US.

Awww. I love you, Munki. Ghostbusters always makes me laugh. But Twinkies?! Blegh.

What the hell IS a twinkie?

You Americanlanders bleat on about them frequently. They can't be anything special or WE would have either invented it first, or imported it.

Twinkie = heart attack in a wrapper. It's like a really fatty victoria sponge type thing with loads of cream inside it. I brought some back for the folks at work instead of the usual cop out of sweeties. Sadly I also brought a bag of peanut butter M & Ms which seemed to go down much better. Lesson here? Stick to sweeties.

Twinkies are the single best thing about America. I'm very very glad you can't get them over here or I would be the size of - of - of an American!

No, no, love, they're not dietetic.

Oh, I believe you get chocolate ones too. I've never been brave enough to look for them to try.

I don't think they make chocolate Twinkies? I believe you're thinking of a Suzi Q, Ho Ho or Ding Dong*. They're all of the same ilk (beef fat and preservatives) as a (chocolate) Twinkie. Nasty, artery clogging crap.

*Cue Foots or Bob for some suitable pun.

I'm fickle. I want a reward now. Forget the pun. Honestly, it's as if you know nothing about how to please a woman...

You might be right. Given you're the one in the US, I'm willing to give you one here ;-)

What you do get that we don't do over here are Tollhouse Ice-cream Cookie Sandwiches. Those are brilliant! The M&M ones aren't as good, but still miles better than what we get here (ie. an ice-cream sandwich here is ice cream in a wafer!)

Of course I'm right, silly boy ;) I used to love the Hostess Fruit Pies but as they're made by the same company as Twinkies, I had to stop eating them when I became vegetarian.

As for the Tollhouse Ice Cream Cookie Sandwiches, they're alright. I'm not a big ice cream eater. It seemed more like a waste of good cookies to do that. Rather like ice cream cakes. What is it? Is it ice cream? Is it cake? It's like it's having an identity crisis. A thorough waste of cake. It always gets all dried out and you end up not wanting to eat it because it's been frozen and ruined by the ice cream. I like sweets more. I'd rather have tablet, Scottish fudge, Edinburgh rock and those wee sugar mice any day -- oooh, or a lovely dessert like sticky toffee pudding.

Great. Now I want a sweet and there's all this Halloween candy here. This is all your fault, Munki...

Ding Dongs look fab. I had never even heard of them until I watched Baby Yudster's favourite film with him (Transformers). Even a Ding Dong that had been on the floor of Air Force One and been dusted off looked pretty glorious.

I wrote it on the page earlier. The pastry/cake bits are made with beef fat and I think the fruit filling in the delicious fruit pies have a gelatin base.
