Can't say I'd mind if it went. I normally skip past it, but I tend to listen in the afternoon and don't rely on it waking me up. I can see why people would want it to be kept.

I must be one of the few who doesn't like the singers then, TBH honest the singers have been round a very long time & seem to be the same old same old, to me at least.

I'd rather we had Paul "The American Voice Over Guy" Turner (is that his surname?) back, especially after listening to several of the old afternoon shows.

Does he do any jingles for Chris anymore?

Pretty much every day.

Thanks for confirming that, I haven't listened to the show in full for ages so I didn't know if he'd been dropped. Glad he hasn't.

I used to like his "Chris, Dave Will & Lizzie, three of them are beautiful & one fo them is a slag" & Chris Moyles, Comedy Dave, Melinda & er, Will, the real dream team" jingles. Probably more for nostalgic reasons more than anything else though

Oh really? Well shows how constantly I listen to the show then. Perhaps I'm just been a bit too nostalgic at the mo listening back to the shows from 1999-2001 & all the different "silly jingles" & "beds" he used to use back then which were refreshed every 6-8 months, infact listening back to the tapes from January 2000-December 2000 there must be at least 8-12 different beds which seem to change ever couple of weeks since September 2000.

Although they have changed the music every so often for the singers it's been a very similar thing for the last five years. It be nice for them to have a change next year, even a "tribute" of a familiar tune (such as the rendition of the Kill Bill theme for the Ramble).

However they seem popular so I think they'll be here for a while

I was playing around with my free trial of 'Wave Pad Sound Editor' the other day, and its amazing you can manipulate music on it, theres reverb, chorus, living room, bathroom, even the goddamn Grand Canyon! (Which made the Cheesy Song sound hideous) But the echo effect was my favourite, now if only Moyles could enhance it that way, it would sound even better - just the makeover this legendary jingle seems to need. Axing it would be like no Rovers in Coronation Street or something.

Don't be so timid people. If they axe it, they will replace it with something which you will all grow to love just as you did the Cheesy Song.

I agree, I mean let's look back to the afternoons Viaduct was a very popular game & I still enjoy listening back to them as well, but when you mention bringing it back (along with True or False & Dave's Introductory Service, both of which were popular) everybody starts shouting no.

If they did get rid of the cheesy song & replace it with something else I think people will get over their axing fairly quickly.

AND Car-E-Oke.

Yes Car-E-Oake was great, even Crapy-Oake as an alternative (getting an department or floor in an office to sing along for example) would work.

Nice to see another Viaduct fan on here, if they did bring it back I'd rather they bought it back with the Bottom End Theme rather than the tune used for Viaduct-The Revenge, I never thought that it suited the game.

I know its an occasional interlude rather than a regular feature, but I love Two Word Tango.

I do as well, especially when it's Carrie's or Aled's turn, they always bugger it up

I agree with Yudwuk, but I have only just realised that. When I first read this thread I thought it was a good idea, keep the cheesy song definitely... then someone mentioned the old Paul Turner intros to 'Bad to the Bone' and I suddenly remembered how I loved that and was disappointed when they didn't transfer it to the breakfast show.

Is "Bad To The Bone" the bit where we got "It's Monday, it's three o'clock, now... live from London - It's Chris Moyles"?

The cheesy song is better than that.
