I've not slept since 9.02am yesterday.

I've gone a bit funny.

Keep going, you'll start seeing hitchhikers everywhere soon, it's mental.

I'm chuffed Obama won. I feel as if the Yanks have restored some of the dignity they shamelessly cast asunder the past 8 years. Although, I mainly supported Obama because I thought McCain just wasn't a good candidate. I mean, he's 72 and if he popped his wee clogs at the helm then Palin (yes I most definitely agree with Topher, she is a MILF) would have to take over and that IS a scary prospect.

Obama has a lot of hype around him - let's see what he can do with it.

I don't know how this works, but is is not usually customary for the incumbent president to get his party's nomination if he's only had one term?

Two ridiculous things I just heard about Palin that were kept under wraps until after the election.

1. Sarah Palin thought 'Africa' was a country, not a continent.
2. Sarah Palin doesn't know all the countries in North America.

The first one is ridiculous enough, but when you can't name THREE countries - one of which is your own, and another you must have passed through coming from Alaska - you really have to wonder.

I can. Mexico, Canada and Haiti. See I could be a vice presidential candidate. I'd be great at the job too!

I'm surprised they haven't kept it under wraps even now - her party released that information?!

Her party weren't best pleased with her after the defeat - a lot of them blame her for losing a significant number of votes.

The McCain camp was leaking stuff just before the election, but the NAFTA, Africa as a country, and towel thing came Wednesday morning.

Of course none of it is entirely surprising. Her education was very spotty, but ignoring that, the average American would probably have problems saying which countries are in NAFTA, and so on. I'm still much relieved that she's not in the White House at all, but she's also very typical.
