Yup. See the previous posts. Those intros were good but the cheesy song is better to wake up to. If they do get rid of it they'll need something else that wakes you up in that way.

I agree with Yudwuk, but I have only just realised that. When I first read this thread I thought it was a good idea, keep the cheesy song definitely... then someone mentioned the old Paul Turner intros to 'Bad to the Bone' and I suddenly remembered how I loved that and was disappointed when they didn't transfer it to the breakfast show.

Is "Bad To The Bone" the bit where we got "It's Monday, it's three o'clock, now... live from London - It's Chris Moyles"?

I think that people who wake up to this song have a certain affinity to it.

dont axe the cheeesyyy song! and dont complain about it not being 'brand new' - thats why it makes me laugh every time! haha. i havent heard it for ages tho cos if i dont have to get up I WONT. not even for my favourite cheesy song. good times though - defs wakes you up. i want them to play it again around 8.15 so others can wake up to it too... never gonna happen right? X

OK I, I admit defeat, it is a good way to wake you up Only thing is, is that I'm now later for work as I end up listening to the opening link before getting ready for work

Just thought actually, I was quite disappointed when they dropped Classical Class at the start of the show but the cheesy song is a great substitute. I'm sure if they drop it they'll find something as good to replace it.

Why don't they merge the Paul turner intro and the Cheezy Song, who knows the intro jingle to the show could end up being longer than steve Wright's intro jingle, If I remember right chris still holds the record for the longest intro jingle though going through the history of R1 and the DJ's over the years.
