Fair enough, but to be honest I'm old fashioned when it comes to things like that, I like a phone to be a phone, don't get me wrong I love all the extra features (camera, MP3 player, etc) but I prefer them to actually resemble a phone (buttons & all), several people at work have had a touch screen phone (whether it be an iPhone or another touch screen phone by Nokia, Samsung, LG, Sony Ericsson, etc) & most have gone back to traditional buttons.

Plus I still have an iPod & 7.1mp Camera & actually prefer having seperate items to just the one.

I've never tried any of the others, but I am led to believe that the iPhone can not be compared to any of the other touchscreens - something about the technology behind them.

iPhone has the thing where you can use more than one finger on it for the pinch/pull gestures. Plus it is so easy to use. I swear give anyone an iPhone for 15 minutes and they'll never want to go back to an old phone. I do most of my browsing on it now. I just use the laptop to download stuff and for web pages with flash.

A camera phone can never replace a proper camera but it was never meant to anyway. And you can get more than enough music on an iPhone do you really need all the random album tracks most people have on an iPod?

I have about 5000+ tracks on itunes, although about 300-500 of them are of Moyles, then there's all the album & single versions of certain songs, 12" versions of songs.

So yeah mostly random b*ll*cks

In my case this is true. I've never really been that interested in an iphone, but I was bored at work and looked at my colleagues one. It's fantastic. I've currently got a Blackberry, and I'm going to swap over to an iphone for sure, the touch screen is so easy to use, and I'm not usually a fan of touch screens. All that said I haven't looked at the Blackberry Storm yet........ The only pain in the arse will be switching from vodafone to O2, (I want to keep my number) so I'll have to go through all the faff of PAC codes etc.

02 do a great contract deal called 'simplicity' and basically it's a phoneless tariff so you only get a Sim Card, but...
for £20 a month you get 1000 free texts, 600 free minutes and a free bolt on from a selection of bolt ons, which include the option to have free weekend calls. Another bonus is that it is a rolling contract so you can cancel it any time and you only have to give 30 days notice. We're gonna do it, it'll save our BT bill...

The Omnia is better than the iPhone in my opinion... although it's swings and roundabouts, on some things the iPhone performs better and on others the Omnia does, but in general I definitely prefer the Omnia.

I don't like Nokias very much, I've not had one since I had a 3310.

have you ever used an iPhone?

I'm yet to hear anyone who has one say anything bad about it.

I don't know in real life anyone who has one and likes it. I also don't know anyone in cyberland who has one and doesn't like it. Its irrelevant to me anyway because I don't need anything like that, I really don't need mobile internet or email or any of that stuff - I need a phone which does calls and texts, and a camera is a nice bonus. If I did need any of the bells and whistles, I am probably pretentious enough to go with the iPhone I reckon.

No. But I've read plenty of reviews and done lots of research - if I'd thought the iPhone looked like it was better, I'd have got it.

Exactly, women and technology do not bake good bed fellows. It was probably too much for her smaller, shopping obsessed brain to handle.

Yeah, another iPhone user here. The camera is shit. (There you go foots, a bad thing...)

More than made up for by everything else being brilliant mind you. I am, however, asking Santa for a small digital camera for Christmas. It's hard going from an N95 to the iPhone for that.

Not a big fan of Women then Andy? Which means obviously that you like them, or you did the last time you tried them ?

The whole misogynist routine though is a bit 80's though isn't it, along with the World Dictator thing I suppose. Each to their own though.
