As for the Daily Mail, I think it's what's termed a 'middle market' paper - it's a tabloid, but it goes for those who consider themselves (wrongly in my opinion) to be above the red tops. It's the second or third highest selling paper in the country and as The S*n is the highest selling, that tells you a lot about the newspaper-buying public - and also tells you why they both have a lot of influence, unfortunately. They go in for sensationalism just as much as The S*n does.
