I love Bill Bailey. When he played here he was very lovely and signed my ex's guitar for him. Also worth a mention in the same vein is Tim Minchin, who is not quite so well known but also ace.

I posted a link ages ago to one of his songs that was played on Colin Murray's show... but I can't find it now, so I'll post it again.

I got dragged to see him in Leeds. He's a good entertainer, but I only like two of his songs, so it was really for me. Basement Jaxx, however, who supported, were great.

oh, forgot to finish what i was saying... i saw the spice girls in january and they were actually quite rubbish but i loved it nonetheless. i also saw the foals a couple of weeks ago and they were amazing! but that's just the good people this year - no one particularly incredible.... although the spice girls are pretty awesome.

Ah, I didn't hear that, cheers. Have you seen him live? I've seen him three times now, he's always great. (As well as being very cute, but that probably doesn't interest you.)

I haven't, but when we were deciding which comedians to go and see, his gig at The Stables was one of the ones I considered. I did see him on Buzzcocks last series I think.

Way to rub it in!!!

Green Day were great when I saw them on their last club tour. Super Furry Animals are always quite epic. I would say The Evaporators or The Bananas, but they only play stinky punk clubs.

If I can get someone to come with me, I'm going to see The Rifles on Friday... I love their album and I've heard great things about their gigs (including their cover of The Eton Rifles, which Paul Weller occasionally coming on to collaborate on).

My brother went to see him in Runcorn a few weeks ago- my brother shouted "encore", and Tim Minchin wasn't sure if he'd shouted "encore" or "wanker"

I've also seen Dragonforce live, they were great :D

Perhaps he realised that his best chance of a decent reception was if his audience removed their brains before he started?

Liz McLarnon - I think you can probably work it out!

Er... I didn't realise The Boogaloo is basically a north London pub and a particularly tiny one at that.. for a band who has packed out Brixton Academy, I was amazed! I'm no good at guessing numbers in crowds, but there can't have been many more than 100 in there (it was pretty rammed).

Incredible, not to mention brilliant.

Coldplay. Saw them for the third time at the SECC last week and they were just fantastic. Which is all the more amazing because as gig venues go the SECC has AWFUL acoustics.
