Christmas is discovering that no matter where you are in the world there will always be that one house with a ridiculous amount of horrible and tacky decorations. Ho * ho.

Not as commonly as in Britain, but I have seen 1 or 2 culprits. I'll snap one if I can, it's on my way to work at some point so I'll give it a shot.

Some people around the corner from me do a huge, uber-tacky grotto type thing in their front garden and all over their house every year. Lots of people have outside lights, but this is the whole hog, absolutely mad and totally revolting really. Thing is, the bloke whose house it is is a self employed builder, so I thought he might not do it this year, things being how they are - its odd how happy it made me when I realised he was setting it all up. Tacky and silly though it is, I think I would really miss it if he stopped doing it now.
