I assumed that by "compy" s/he meant "competition" - which makes it read very differently. But I have forgotten the question, so I have no idea what the reality might be here.

Compy? You'd still have to pay for merchandise! How stupid are you? If it was a PLC, which I presume is what you mean by "compy", then it will cost us more, the quality will be significantly lower and there will be adverts! It'll be ITV mark 2?! The BBC is a great corporation in which the rest of the world is in awe!

God could you imagine, ITV1 is in a sh*te enough state as it is. If the BBC had to have adverts the ITV1 would get ten times worse

This is why I don't understand the Daily Heil, they want to get rid of the licence but do they really think that the BBC will get any better?

I know this is a bit of an odd request, but if anybody has the 2 episodes mentioned in this thread with the rants, I'd really appreciate if you could upload them, or just the rants... I missed this totally, so it's expired off iPlayer by now...
